In this GetResponse review, I’m going to show you how you can use this all-in-one marketing platform for email marketing, landing pages, sales funnels, and webinars.

I’m going to make a full breakdown of all the features.

And how you can use them to get amazing results for your online business.

I’m also going to discuss what kind of integrations they have with other tools.

As well as what type of support and customer service they offer to their users.

GetResponse Features

GetResponse has some really powerful features that allow you to create amazing email marketing campaigns, create landing pages, sales funnels, do webinars, and so on.

I’m amazed by the fact that the team behind it is constantly putting effort into developing and improving the product.

And they’re constantly adding new features.

So I wouldn’t be surprised if after a year they have tons of new tools that are currently not available today.

That’s why I wanted to make a detailed review of all of their current features.

Email marketing – GetResponse is first viewed as an email marketing tool so this is the feature that you’re probably looking forward to the most.

With its help you can easily setup:

  • Newsletters and one-time email broadcasts to share content or promote an offer
  • Autoresponders to automatically message subscribers and follow-up
  • Automated emails that are being sent on autopilot after people visit your website, abandon cart, purchase, etc.

And one of the best things about using GetResponse as an email marketing platform is their deliverability rate of 99%.

This means that you can be sure your emails will be delivered to your contacts.

To create your emails, GetResponse provides you with an amazing drag-and-drop email creator.

With its help, you can create professional-looking email campaigns without the need to use HTML code.

The email creator comes with powerful design features so you can have stunning emails optimized for every device.

You also get flexible setup and scheduling so you can verify and check if everything is working properly before you send or schedule it.

If you don’t want to design your emails from scratch, GetResponse also provides you with a library of well-crafted and beautiful pre-built email templates that you can use right away.

GetResponse also has an amazing email marketing tool that helps you optimize your emails for mobile.

So you can hide specific elements or sections and preview your design so you can optimize it for the platform.

If you’re using a lot of images in your emails, you will be happy to find out that GetResponse also comes with a built-in photo editor.

So you will be able to:

  • add text,
  • apply colors
  • apply filters
  • crop images
  • edit images

…and so on.

Not only that, but GetResponse also gives you access to 5,000 free royalty-free stock photos that you can use for your emails.

One of the best features of GetResponse is the ability to deliver emails at the right time so it increases the chance for them to get opened and read.

They use a time-travel delivery that allows you to deliver emails at people’s local time instead of your own.

I consider this to be a huge advantage if you have people from your subscriber list from different countries and continents.

In order to help you increase conversions, GetResponse can deliver highly personalized emails with dynamic content.

That way you can automatically display different images or text in your emails.

And even present different products in your emails depending on your people’s activity and interests.

So in this GetResponse review, I would give their email marketing tool a solid 10/10.

It’s easy to get started it, easy to use, it provides great user experience and comes up with awesome email templates.

Marketing automation – in GetResponse with marketing automation you can take your email marketing to the next level.

With it, you can deliver relevant emails and experiences exactly at the right time for the right person.

What’s really cool is that GetResponse allows you to visualize your customer journey with automation workflows and decide on which email to be sent depending on individual actions.

Which is another reason why they’re such an amazing email marketing platform.

First, you select when the marketing automation to be started – this could be based on when someone joins a list, a tag has been assigned to him, etc.

You can use conditions to create automation events based on the behavior of your audience.

These could be anything from clicks in your emails, card abandonment, people subscribing to specific lists, etc.

Then based on these conditions you can have different actions that take place as a result within the marketing automation.

This could be anything from sending an email, assigning a score, adding a tag, etc.

You can also apply additional filters for your actions.

These are things like amount sent, range, dynamic segments, etc.

What I like a lot about the automation workflows is that you can have emails being triggered and sent within the marketing automation when people visit a specific URL from your site.

That way you can nurture people differently depending on which part of the funnel they are.

This is all possible thanks to the website visitor tracking that GetResponse offers.

Thanks to this you can also have emails being sent when people abandon your cart and bring them back and convert them into customers.

GetResponse also takes it one step further by also having the option to automatically recommend products within emails that the platform knows they would be interested in.

This is all calculated automatically based on data acquired by your audience activity on your site, purchase data, and more.

In general, the marketing automation of GetResponse is quite powerful and it puts it way above other tools like MailChimp and AWeber.

Which makes it one of the most powerful email marketing tools you can use for your business. And it’s easy to use and get started as a beginner.

You can do a pretty good job using it to nurture new leads, create engagement around your brand, and increase sales.

So that’s why in this GetResponse Review, I would give the marketing automation a pretty solid 9/10.

Landing pages – GetResponse started as an email marketing solution.

However, they understood that they need to come up with new tools and features in order to stay competitive on the market.

This is when they decided that they need to create the tools needed for their customers to build landing pages.

The landing page editor of GetResponse allows you to build pages from scratch within just a few minutes.

You can drag-and-drop any element where you want on the landing page, resize, change its color, crop it, etc.

A really cool extra is that GetResponse allows you to tap into over 5,000 royalty-free stock photos that you can use for your landing pages.

If you don’t want to start from scratch, GetResponse also provides you with amazing mobile-responsive templates that you can use straight away.

You can also run A/B tests on your landing pages to determine which ones convert better and test different variations to improve results.

So in this GetResponse review, I would give their landing page builder a solid 8/10.

It’s easy to use and get started with. It comes with some great templates and it allows you to build any type of landing page you will want.

However, it’s not as powerful as the landing page builder of platforms like ClickFunnels or Kartra.

Conversion funnel – with Conversion funnel GetResponse allows you to build a sales funnel and sales process around the customer journey of your website visitors.

So you can convert them into buyers.

The Conversion funnel converts every stage of a sales funnel – from awareness, discovery, evaluation, intent, purchase, and loyalty.

So here’s all the functionalities that are included:

  • Facebook ads – you have the ability to setup and buy Facebook and Instagram ads straight from GetResponse
  • Social media ad creator – this is a great tool that you can use to create stunning animations using pre-built templates
  • Landing pages – with GetResponse you can setup your own landing pages to present your offers, grow your list, generate leads and customers
  • Web Forms – you use them on your landing pages to generate leads
  • Exit-intent popups – you can use them to convert more of your visitors and grow your email list
  • Email marketing – you can use it as a way to follow-up with your leads, to engage them with your content, to build a relationship and to present them your offers
  • Webinars  – you can use free or paid webinars to create a demand and to sell your products and services
  • Sales pages – you can use to sell your products and services
  • Stores for your products – this is where you can include and manage all of your products
  • eCommerce integrations – you can use this to automatically import your products from other eCommerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, and Esty
  • Abandoned order emails – follow up with the people who abandon your cart, bring them back and convert them into customers
  • Payment processors – collect payments with payment gateways like Stripe, PayPal, Square, Bluesnap, PayU, etc.
  • One-click upsell pages – increase your Average Order Value (AOV) with one-click upsells
  • Automated order confirmations – automatically send emails to your customers to let them know they have successfully purchased your product

… and so on.

In general, the Conversion funnel will allow you to connect all of the processes within GetResponse and get them organized so you can increase your conversion rates, revenue, and profit.

GetResponse also provides you with over 30 pre-designed and conversion-optimized scenarios that you can use to setup your conversion funnel.

You have access to conversion funnels created for specific industries like coaching, eCommerce, conversion optimization, blogging, etc.

They already come with ready images, visuals, design, copy.

So you can just edit it out and personalize it for your business and you’re ready to go.

In this GetResponse review, I want to rate this feature as 7/10. It comes with some great templates and it makes sense to use it within the platform itself.

But it’s not as easy to use as the funnel builder of ClickFunnels for example.

Sign up forms – GetResponse understands that without great opt-in forms you won’t be able to grow your subscriber list and sell your products.

That’s why they have invested heavily in developing the ultimate form builder.

With new GetResponse forms you will be able to:

  • Provide email signups and grow your email list
  • Setup order forms so you can sell your products
  • Offer free downloads to your audience
  • Provide signup for a free course
  • Build feedback forms
  • Create event signups
  • Setup seasonal forms
  • Create blank forms

… and so on.

The list builder wizard of GetResponse comes up with over 500 pre-built templates that you can use straight away to setup your forms within seconds.

Of course, each one of them comes up with an already existing thank you page. So that’s already setup for you.

GetResponse gives you a special feature called ColorMagic.

With its help, you can match the form with the color of your website with one click.

You can also A/B test your forms to find one that converts better and to improve your results.

Besides the form builder, GetResponse also has some great List Builder Apps.

This includes:

  • Exit pop-ups so you can convert abandoning visitors into leads and customers
  • Scroll forms so you can convert the people who’re interested in to your content
  • Fixed bars so you can keep your offer on top all of the time
  • Download boxes so you can deliver content to your audience

For savvy users, GetResponse also provides a Plain HTML editor.

With its help, you can get the HTML code of your form and embed it on your website.

You can also improve your forms with custom CSS, use custom fields, and add subscribers automatically to your GetResponse campaigns.

Last but not least, GetResponse also allows you to create online surveys.

With their help, you get feedback from your customers and this information can help you a lot when it comes to growing your business.

So you can use surveys to ask customers :

  • to review your products and website
  • to get feedback on how to improve your products
  • to share how happy they’re from using your products

…and so on.

I personally like this feature a lot because it allows you to understand what you need to work on to better satisfy the needs of your customers.

And most email marketing and landing page platforms don’t have only survey functionalities.

So in this GetResponse review, I’m going to rate this feature as 9/10.

The form templates GetResponse offers are quite good. And you use GetResponse to run surveys.

Webinars – a huge advantage that GetResponse has is that you can use their platform to also host Webinars.

Which includes both live and on-demand evergreen webinars.

That way you can eliminate the need to use other paid webinar software tools like WebinarJam, EverWebinar or GoToWebinar.

With the webinar solution of GetResponse, you can have up to 1,000 live attendees.

Even though they seriously limit the spots depending on your pricing plan.

You can also host unlimited webinars and have up to 20 hours of webinar recording stored on the cloud.

It takes only a few minutes to setup a webinar – which includes creating your landing page, customizing the URL, enabling registration, picking subscription settings, etc.

What’s really good is that GetResponse has some pre-built marketing tools for their webinars.

They allow you to:

  • create landing pages to register for the event,
  • to SEO optimize it for search traffic
  • to run retargeting Facebook ads to the page visitors with relevant offers

You can also use GetResponse to automatically follow-up with everybody who registers for your webinar, build a relationship, share content, and present them with amazing relevant offers.

GetResponse also has amazing tools that you can use while running your webinar in order to maximize engagement and conversions.

You can do things like:

  • Sharing your screen to deliver an amazing presentation
  • Collect feedback from your audience with polls and tests
  • Use interactive whiteboards to brainstorm and collaborate
  • Live streaming your webinars also on Facebook and YouTube
  • Sharing files and YouTube videos
  • Selling your products and special offers with built-in call-to-action buttons

If you want to run evergreen webinars with GetResponse, you can simply use already pre-recorded presentations and put them on autopilot.

So that way your audience can access your webinar anytime and anywhere.

And if you want to host the webinar live, you can do that even from your mobile phone.

GetResponse also provides you with amazing analytics and reports so you can better understand how well your webinar performed.

You can see things like devices people used to access it, attendee location, average attendance time, survey results, invitation sent, number of attendees, etc.

Traffic generation & Facebook ads – what’s unique about GetResponse is that they allow you to create Facebook ads and Instagram ads directly from their platform.

And I haven’t seen the email marketing tools offer anything similar to this.

The first huge benefit is that GetResponse allows you to create a really well-targeted audience for your ads.

You can build a custom audience of your engaged visitors and retarget them with Facebook ads and Instagram Ads to convert them.

You can also easily retarget your contacts, Facebook fans, people who have visited specific GetResponse pages, etc.

GetResponse allows you to setup your ad budget directly on their platform.

And you can also create the ads creative using GetResponse as well.

They also provide you with their Social Media Ads Creator which you can use to create stunning animations.

So in this review, I’m going to rate this feature as a 6/10. Simply because you can do the same things from the Facebook platform itself.

But there are some small added benefits – like easier and more powerful custom audiences and the Social Media Ads Creator comes in handy.

eCommerce – GetResponse has extremely powerful tools that will help you grow your eCommerce sales.

First of all, you can integrate GetResponse directly with your current eCommerce solution – no matter if this is Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop, Esty, etc.

When you do that you will be able to add your products to the inventory of GetResponse.

And then you can use email marketing and landing pages to sell them and to grow your revenue.

You can even setup your own eCommerce store within GetResponse so you don’t need to use any third-party solution.

And then you will be able to sell anything from physical products, courses, ebooks, consulting, services, etc.

This is something that other email marketing tools are simply not offering.

You can also integrate payment gateways on your landing pages so you get paid directly.

And for that, you can use anything from PayPal, Stripe, Square, Bluesnap, PayU, etc.

If you’re looking for ways to increase your sales you can use the built-in sales funnels functionalities.

What’s also really cool about GetResponse is that they can automatically recommend products to your audience to help you increase your sales.

So they know exactly what to recommend to your list based on their behavior on your website, landing pages, email, etc.

GetResponse also has extremely powerful card abandonment features.

They allow you to automatically follow-up with people who leave the checkout before purchasing and convert them.

You can also follow-up with your customers after they purchase with upsell offers, product suggestions, etc.

So you can use that to increase the customer lifetime value and bring in new sales consistently.

In this review, we have to rate this feature pretty high with 9/10.

List building and management – one of the hardest things when growing your email is to find a way to manage and organize all of your contacts.

And this is GetResponse does an amazing job.

So right from building your list, GetResponse gives you amazing tools so you can collect the information you need about your contacts and use that later on to segment and organize them.

First, GetResponse gives you the option to use advanced custom fields.

With their help, you can collect any type of information that you need about your contacts.

Not only that but GetResponse also automatically validates any type of data it collects about your contacts.

This could be anything like preferences, habits, personal info, preferences, geolocation, demographics, etc.

Later on, based on this data you can create segmentations or you can browse through personal profiles.

With GetResponse you can also use the information from the custom fields to create custom field merge tags in your emails for maximum personalization.

This can help you engage more people in your list and improve conversion rates.

The really good thing about GetResponse is that they allow you to use advanced search and segmentation of your contacts.

So that way your list is always organized and you’re always reaching the right people with relevant offers.

You can create custom segments based on:

  • Geolocation
  • Subscription data and source
  • Contact custom data
  • Contact engagement score
  • Custom tags and scores
  • Last message date
  • Completeness of autoresponder sequence

… and more.

You can also modify and make changes to your contacts as you want.

This includes doing things like:

  • Sending an email to your segment
  • Moving contacts to another list
  • Adding custom fields to your segment of contacts
  • Download your search results

It’s also worth mentioning that GetResponse has seriously invested in Consent forms that help you to be GDPR compliant.

With their help, you can even create and manage multiple consent fields.

And for each one you will provide them with all the necessary information so your subscribers will know how they’re data is being used.

Analytics and optimization – GetResponse has extremely powerful analytic tools that help you understand exactly how your email campaigns are performing.

And what you need to do in order to optimize and improve them.

With GetResponse you will be able to track things like open rates, CTR, goals achieved, etc. in real-time.

This means that you will always have accurate data based on which you can optimize your campaigns.

GetResponse also gives you accurate data based on what devices people use to read your emails.

So you will be able to see which email clients people use the most and how desktop compares to mobile.

In order to better understand what’s working, GetResponse allows you to compare emails and analyze their results.

What’s really good is that thanks to the website tracking code you can also see how your email campaigns convert on your website.

And you will be able to get data about visits from emails, sign-ups, sales, and so on.

One of my favorite features is that you can create a segment of people who have opened and clicked in your email and send them a relevant offer.

And for those who didn’t open an email, you can rewrite the subject line and email them again.

GetResponse also has some powerful A/B testing features that allow you to compare different versions of your emails.

You can test things like the exact time of day or day of the week you send, subject lines, email content, from fields, etc.

Not to mention, you can test up to 5 versions at a time. Which is more than enough.

So in this review, I have to rate their analytics and optimization tools with 10/10.

GetResponse Integrations

GetResponse currently integrates with more than 120 other 3rd party tools and platforms.

GetResponse Support

Help Center – GetResponse has an extremely rich and well-organized help center where you can find all types of information regarding how to use the platform.

In the search bar, you can type your question, and immediately you will see possible answers to what you’re looking for.

In the help center, GetResponse has also listed the top 10 most asked questions making it even easier for customers.

Below that you will see that all of the information within the help center has been organized into different categories making it easier for people to navigate.

In the help center, you can find useful information about:

  • Getting started with GetResponse
  • Building contact lists
  • Managing contacts
  • Working with messages
  • Conversion funnel
  • eCommerce
  • Marketing automation
  • Analyzing statistics
  • Pricing and billing
  • Managing your account
  • Integrations and API
  • CRM (Customer relationship management)
  • Mobile apps
  • Get Response Enterprise

…and so on.

Within each category, you’re going to find a lot of useful articles, step-by-step guides with text and video, etc.

Basically everything you need to know about GetResponse in order to achieve your goals is here. So you can’t possibly ask for more.

Resources – besides the help center, GetResponse also creates amazing resources to help its customers get better results with their platform.

That’s why they have invested heavily in creating content to educate their customers to help them accomplish their goals.

And GetResponse has all kinds of resources that you can use – from guides, videos, courses, infographics, reports, etc.

For example: they have a step-by-step guide on how to sell an online course:

Videos on how to webinar funnels to build your coaching business

A course on how to use email marketing for bloggers.

Beside by format, you can also filter their resources by topic.

Everything from:

  • Email marketing
  • Marketing automation
  • Email design
  • Landing pages
  • Lead Generation
  • Conversion rate optimization
  • Webinar marketing

… and so on.

And it’s worth mentioning that you get all of these resources for free.

Just because GetResponse cares about helping you get results with their platform.

Certification program – besides their free resources, GetResponse also has a certification program that can help boost your credibility.

GetResponse gives you the option to get certified for 5 courses:

  • Email marketing
  • Marketing automation
  • Landing page and conversion optimization
  • Content marketing
  • Inbound sales

The cost for each course is $199 and once certified you get some amazing perks.

The first thing is that you get promoted on GetResponse Marketplace where you can find more customers for your business.

This is where you can offer services like graphic design, list building, marketing automation, content creation, branding and PR, marketing strategy, training, software development, etc.

Second thing is that you get a 50% discount on ResponseCon – which is a marketing conference organized by GetResponse.

And you even get the option to speak on stage.

Third, GetResponse gives you the option to publish a post on their blog and reach their audience with your message.

Live chat support – GetResponse offers a premium live chat support available for you 24/7.

And it also takes a few minutes for a support agent to reach out to you and to help you with whatever you need.

What’s impressive is that they have one of the best customer support out there from most email marketing and landing platform tools.

It’s trusted and loved by 96% of its customers and it has numerous awards from Capterra, Stevie awards, etc.

I have always considered good live chat support to be essential for any platform I’d recommend. So I’d give GetResponse 10/10 here for this.

Email support – besides live chat support, GetResponse also offers email support again available to you 24/7.

What’s impressive is that the support is available in 8 languages.

These are English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, French, Russian, Polish, and Italian.

Which is something that’s unheard of by any other platform.

At least, I haven’t seen a platform that offers support in more than 2 languages – English and Spanish.

So 8 languages are quite impressive. Especially, if you’re not a native English speaker.

Phone support – Unfortunately, GetResponse only offers phone support for their Enterprise plan.

So for all other plans, phone support won’t be available to you.

But it’s still not a huge miss because their chat support and their email support is amazing.

SO in this review, I’m going to rate their customer support as a solid 10/10.

GetResponse Pricing

There are currently 4 GetResponse pricing plans available that will also cost differently depending on if you pay monthly, once in 12-months or once in 24 months.

All plans come with a 30-day free trial that doesn’t require a credit card.

So you can try GetResponse without worrying you might forget to cancel your free trial and you will be charged.

Now let’s take a look at all the different GetResponse pricing plans:

Basic – this plan costs $15 per month when paid monthly for a list size of 1,000 subscribers.

If you have a bigger list you can upgrade your list size in the package and this will also increase the pricing for this plan.

  • 2,500 subscribers will cost you $25 per month when paid monthly
  • 5,000 subscribers will cost you $45 per month when paid monthly
  • 10,000 subscribers will cost you $65 per month when paid monthly
  • 25,000 subscribers will cost you $145 per month when paid monthly
  • 50,000 subscribers will cost you $250 per month when paid monthly
  • 100,000 subscribers will cost you $450 per month when paid monthly

Also, if you decide to pay once in 12-months GetResponse will give you an 18% discount on the plan.

And if you pay once in 24-months they will give you a 30% discount.

As you can say this is the cheapest plan of GetResponse and as such it gives you the basis to send emails and engage your contacts.

This pricing plan includes features such as email marketing and autoresponders.

It also gives you unlimited landing pages, automation templates, and lead funnels.

However, it gives you only one sales funnel.

Besides this it allows you to sell e-products and use the integrated Facebook ads functionality.

So I would say this is pretty good for their cheapest plan.

Plus – this plan costs $49 per month when paid monthly for a list size of 1,000 people.

Just like with the basic plan, you can upgrade your list plan if you have a bigger list.

  • 2,500 subscribers will cost you $59 per month when paid monthly
  • 5,000 subscribers will cost you $79 per month when paid monthly
  • 10,000 subscribers will cost you $95 per month when paid monthly
  • 25,000 subscribers will cost you $179 per month when paid monthly
  • 50,000 subscribers will cost you $299 per month when paid monthly
  • 100,000 subscribers will cost you $499 per month when paid monthly

Also, if you decide to pay once in 12-months GetResponse will give you an 18% discount on the plan.

And if you pay once in 24-months they will give you a 30% discount.

When it comes to features, the Plus plan includes everything covered in the Basis plan and more.

You also get access to an automation builder with a limit of 5 workflows.

As well as the option to host webinars with up to 100 attendees. And create up to 5 webinar funnels as well as 5 sales funnels.

And last but not least, this plan also allows you to do lead scoring and tagging so you can do a better job at managing your leads.

All of this makes Plus the most popular plan of GetResponse and probably the best bank for your buck.

Professional – this plan costs $99 per month when paid monthly for a list size of 1,000 people.

With bigger lists the pricing updates as follows:

  • 2,500 subscribers will cost you $119 per month when paid monthly
  • 5,000 subscribers will cost you $139 per month when paid monthly
  • 10,000 subscribers will cost you $165 per month when paid monthly
  • 25,000 subscribers will cost you $255 per month when paid monthly
  • 50,000 subscribers will cost you $370 per month when paid monthly
  • 100,000 subscribers will cost you $580 per month when paid monthly

Also, if you decide to pay once in 12-months GetResponse will give you an 18% discount on the plan.

And if you pay once in 24-months they will give you a 30% discount.

In terms of features, Professional gives you the things included in Plus and a lot more.

With it, you get unlimited automation builder, sales funnels, and webinar funnels.

You also get the option to run on-demand webinars and host webinars with up to 300 attendees.

Not to mention you can also host paid webinars.

As you can say, this plan is for more advanced users who are looking for ways to optimize results and scale-up.

Enterprise – this plan has custom pricing and you would need to contact GetResponse for a quote.

And it supports a list of any size (100,000+ people).

Enterprise covers everything in Professional and some extras.

First, you get your own dedicated IP address. As well as your own deliverability consultant, an account manager, and email marketing consulting.

Second, you get the option to host webinars for up to 500 attendees.

Third, you get transactional emails and single sign-on.

The good thing is that all plans come with a free trial for up to 30 days. So you can try GetResponse and see if it is the right email marketing platform for you.

In Conclusion

GetResponse is an extremely powerful email marketing and marketing automation software.

It can help you deliver extremely well-personalized campaigns and get amazing results.

They have amazing email templates, email creator, and tools that allow that makes it easy to execute your email marketing strategies.

But as a platform, GetResponse has grown and became much more than just an email marketing software.
